GRAND JUNCTION, Colo. (KKCO) — The public health department of Mesa County has published the newest updates on trends related to respiratory illnesses.

The data indicated that the hospitalization rates for COVID-19, influenza, and RSV decreased starting from March 18th.

The information indicates hospitalization rates for every 100,000 individuals.

Since October 1, 2024, 77 residents of Mesa County have been admitted to hospitals due to COVID-19. Additionally, 108 individuals were hospitalized for the flu, and another 70 were hospitalized because of RSV.

As per official guidelines, the most effective methods to avoid falling ill include isolating yourself when you feel unwell, regularly cleansing your hands, sanitizing commonly used objects and areas, and ensuring your vaccinations are current.
