Dubliner’s is good – I rather enjoyed Portrait of the Artist as Young Man as well. At least I haven’t read Finnegan’s Wake though – now that’s an obtuse piece of work :/

I prefer my Joyce in a much shorter form. Now, Dubliners is a great piece of work.

But I do! I know, I know, it’s not right – it took me a good four or five tries just to get past the first two sections. But once you get into the rhythm of it the text just flows, and it really is a wonderful book (despite Joyce’s troubles with punctuation!)
It is one of those love/hate things though, and I’m most definitely in the minority on this one :)

I’m sorry, but I refuse to believe you really like Ulysses. I may have to reconsider our mutual blog appreciation if this shocking fact is, indeed, true. I also apologise for the use of punctuation in this comment, as this may make reading it difficult for a U fan :-)
